Christopher Sheck Jr.'s parente were Christopher Sheck 1755-1840 and Mary Wager 1766-1857, Loyalists.
Dora M Cosman was born in Millstream, New Brunswick Canada 18, October, 1889, to Christopher Wager Cosman and Sarah Abigail Cosman, both citizens of the local area. Christopher was of German Jewish descent but the family had become Christains long since and Sarah was of Scottish descent.
Christopher and Sarah soon parted and it seems the girls, Dora and her sisters, Eva and Vivian ( Minnie) were brought up for some time in New Brunswick, but they do not show up on the 1901 census.
Several pictures of Sarah and the girls were taken by studios in Saint John, NB.

Dora must have spent some time with her grandmother, Mary Ann Tamlyn-Jamieson on their farm on Jordon Mountain and New Town, Kings County, NB. She married her cousin, Roy Tamlyn in Boston, in 1910.
