Gordon was sent away from home at about 9 years of age to work out on a farm, possibly his grandfather, Jacob Wood's farm in Redhead, on the Bay of Fundy, as the crow flies, directly south of the Lawton place. He married and had two daughters, Helen and Gordena, both nurses. They were friends with Gordon's sister, Mabel, and went out there from Saint John every Sunday for dinner. Thelma is a nice lady, still living and approaching her 100th birthday.

Gordon went to visit his Uncle Robert Ephriam Lawton in Maine.........
