Great-Uncle..Private James Harvey Lackie Jr. (This is a featured page

Known as Harvey, this farm boy from Upham went out of his way to inlist in the army during WWI.

He fought and died in France. His body was never found but his name is engraved on the Vimy Memorial and on our hearts. I like to think it is Harvey Lackie sleeping in the UNKNOWN Soldier's Tomb on Parliament Hill. Maybe it is, maybe not.

Harvey info

My mother, Muriel, kept information and pictures of Harvey and then gave them to me. I provided them to Hampton High School for their recent book. Harvey, you are forever young and forever remembered.
