Surprises come along suddenly......Marion Winnifred Lackie had a daughter, born June 15, 1944, and given up for adoption to a Campbell family in Petitiodiac. She was named Myrna Winnifred Lackie....and then became Mona Campbell.

Marion has had an eventful life and is now 88 years old.



Marion, Muriel and Marjorie, who was born in April, 1938, and Jean was born May, 39....so Jean was infant ( not in picture )

So this picture was probably taken in summer of 1939 when Marion and Muriel were 17 and 1/2 years old.

At age 22, Marion had a daughter who was adopted out in September of 1944. See picture etc above.

Marion married William George Cochrane, Sept 2, 1944 and had twins, Wayne and Wanda, in 1946.




Cochrane soon left, and they were divorced, so sister Audrey took in Wayne and Wanda was adopted out.

John was a policeman and Wanda, a Financial Consultant. They have both passed away. The twins, Dana, the girl and Daniel, the boy, died at birth.

Wanda was brought up by the Ferguson family of Grand Bay, NB.

Marion went out to work and boarded with us on the Old Black River Road....she was lonely....look at the pictures... she is aloof and alone.

Her happiness ended when Everett had a heart-attack and died.

Marion worked at Foley Pottery

Poole & Foley Pottery Company, ca post 1883. It was situated just off of the Loch Lomond road in East Saint John which at the time was known as Crouchville. The specific location would have been at the end of the current Foley Court, which is off the Loch Lomond Road heading east, just up the street from Westmorland Road on the opposite side.
